Oldies rock tonight at Garden Pavilion

The Satellites play a great selection of oldies rock 'n' roll and throw in a tribute to the Blues Brothers when they perform at 7 p.m. tonight in the Garden Pavilion at Rock Crusher Canyon.

The band has a repertoire of songs from the early days of rock 'n' roll in the 1950s through the 1970s.

The Tampa-based band also dons dark suits, stubby hats and sunglasses for a rollicking tribute to the fictional blues band fronted by John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.

Admission to the pavilion show is $18, which includes a buffet meal. Doors open at 5 p.m. The meal is from 6 to 8 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m.

And finally, for the full experience of a Rock Crusher Canyon concert weekend, there's a Sunday brunch at the pavilion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Music provided by acoustic guitarist and singer John Stevens. Admission is $9.95.

Rock Crusher Canyon is at 275 Rock Crusher Road, Crystal River. Call 795-1313 or visit the Web site at www.rockcrushercanyon.com.
