Wildcat named all-academic

An area athlete was named Wednesday to the Florida High School Activities Association Academic All-State team. They are:

Justin Travis Wortley, Wesley Chapel. He has a 3.78 GPA and is ranked sixth in his class. He lettered in football and baseball his junior and senior years. He will attend Florida. Wortley joins four athletes from Hillsborough and Pinellas counties on the team. They are: Carolynn Chin of Dixie Hollins; Kimberly Dawn Conaway of Osceola; John L. Dicks II of Plant City; and Colin A. Strickland of Jesuit.
