Another 300 for Zuidema family

John Zuidema Jr. bowled his second career 300 game April 19 at Spring Hill Lanes, leaving him one behind his son, John III.

Zuidema Jr. had games of 300, 227 and 180 for a 707 scratch series in the T.G.I.F. League.

Earlier in the week, Frank Supitkowsky and Troy Lamou reux each rolled 299.

Lamoureux came within one pin of a perfect game April 12 in the Friday Prime Time League. He added games of 205 and 229 for a 733 series.

Supitkowsky matched Lamoureux's 299 April 17 in Kevin's Pro Shop League. He finished with a 694 scratch series.

UPCOMING: The Rotary Club of Spring Hill Central Charities and the Dawn Center will have their first annual Bowling Benefit on May 5, 2-5 p.m., at Mariner Lanes. The cost is $200 per team.

Prizes include dinner theater at The Show Palace, all-day passes to Weeki Wachee Buccaneer Bay, restaurant certificates, canoe trips, and gift certificates. Trophies will be awarded to the first-, second- and last-place teams.

The event will benefit Rotary Charities and countywide service programs, as well the Dawn Center Services to abused women and children and victims of rape.
