The Brooksville and Spring Hill Enrichment Centers/Senior Friends have announced a new and expanded partnership with Oak Hill Hospital. Members of the Enrichment Centers/Senior Friends in Spring Hill and Brooksville will now receive special benefits as patients or when visiting Oak Hill Hospital.

Some of the added benefits include room upgrades when available, speedier registrations and cafeteria discounts.

Another benefit is the creation of the Sunshine Girls, a committee made up of Enrichment Center/Senior Friends members who will visit members who are patients at the hospital.

"We want to make sure every member gets a visitor while they are sick in the hospital. Many times, our members don't have family that live in the area, and those members don't get visitors. We just want them to know that we are thinking of them in their time of need," said Debbie Walker-Druzbick, enrichment centers coordinator.

Members of the Sunshine Girls include Lorraine Becker; Evelyn Berlin; Betty Green; Clarice Johnson, Senior Friends president; Rena Shier; Walker-Druzbick; and Rosalie Wolfe.

The Enrichment Centers/Senior Friends offer a comprehensive program that includes health education, recreation, national discounts and the promotion of ongoing personal growth. The facilities serve as a focal point for health information and community services as well as a means for the individual to socialize and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
