ZEPHYRHILLS -- Starting tonight, residents are invited to tell a team of consultants what they want to see in town and how they want to deal with growth.

Consultants from the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council will listen to suggestions and take notes, all of which will culminate in a final report to be presented May 13 to the City Council.

"The very purpose of these meetings is really to gather information, the issues, the good and bad, from the public," city planner Todd Vande Berg said last week.

Residents will be invited to list issues, "everything from A to Z," including traffic, growth, development styles, parks and whatever other needs are discussed, he said.

Tonight's meeting marks the first of three such sessions in coming weeks. The others are scheduled for May 2 and 7. Each meeting will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

For information, call Zephyrhills City Hall at (813) 780-0000.
