TONIGHT: RAYS VS. RED SOX

  • WHEN/WHERE: 6:15; Tropicana Field, St. Petersburg
  • PITCHERS: Rays -- Joe Kennedy, 1-2, 4.60; Red Sox -- Derek Lowe, 4-1, 2.04
  • TV/RADIO: FSN; WFLA-AM 970

WORTH NOTING: Lowe no-hit the Rays on April29. He allowed 15 hits in 351/3 innings to earn the American League pitcher of the month award.

RAYS TICKETS: Available at Tropicana Field box office, through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at devilrays.com or ticketmaster.com, and the Rays Dugout Store at WestShore Plaza. Beach tickets ($5 for adults, $2 for children and seniors) go on sale two hours before home games.

INFORMATION: Call toll free 1-888-FAN-RAYS.

OUTTA LEFTFIELD

Red Sox outfielder and future Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson is 42 years old. Rays manager Hal McRae was 42 when he retired after the 1987 season.

"There's no comparison between me at 42 and Rickey at 42," McRae said. "It's just not a good comparison."

Henderson has shown he still has some pop in his bat. On April22, Henderson, the all-time leader in leadoff home runs, hit his 80th off of the Rays' Delvin James.
