Man arrested in bid to slash two with knife
HOMOSASSA -- A Homosassa man is behind bars after authorities said he attempted to slash two people with a knife and resisted arrest Thursday night. Aaron Anthony Jacobs, 26, of 6321 S Rainbow Point was being held in lieu of $41,000 at the Citrus County Jail on a count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence and attempting to elude an officer. According to his arrest report, it took three Citrus County sheriff's deputies to subdue Jacobs. He was arrested after a man and a woman told authorities he had confronted them with a knife and demanded money. Jacobs is also accused of punching the man.
