OPERA BUFFS are invited to view a video of Puccini's Manon Lescaut at 12:30 p.m. May 17 at Centennial Library, 5740 Moog Road, Holiday. The video is by the Royal Opera of Covent Garden. The large-screen presentation will also have a PBS documentary on the life of Puccini. Admission is free; those who attend are urged to bring a seat cushion.
KIDS FROM PASCO recreation centers and the YMCA will perform excerpts from Broadway shows at 1 p.m. May 19 at Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St., Tarpon Springs. More than 50 students ages 4 through 20 will do songs and monologues from Les Miserables, Grease, Annie and You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The revue is expected to last almost four hours, according to instructor Rosanne Vavasis. Admission is $10; tickets are available at the YMCA near Huntington Bank at U.S. 19 and Main Street, New Port Richey.
