OUTTA LEFTFIELD
Some Rays employees were trying just about anything to end the franchise's worst losing streak at 14 games. Home clubhouse manager Carlos Ledezma shaved his head before Friday's game. Rick Vaughn, vice president of public relations, sported a laminated ticket around his neck. Vaughn, who worked in the Orioles public-relations department for 10 years, used a ticket from the April 29, 1988, game between Baltimore and the White Sox. The Orioles won that game, ending a 21-game losing streak.
