PALM HARBOR -- Auditions for scholarships to study at the Florida Gulf Coast Ballet School are scheduled for Saturday at the school.

The annual auditions, named after the school's late founder Beatriz DeParis, will lead to $7,000 in scholarships.

The audition fee is $10. Audition hours are 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 8 to 10; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for ages 13-14 and company auditions for ages 15 and older; 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for ages 11-12.

Scholarship recipients will receive full paid class tuition, costume use and performance opportunities. Students selected as company members may receive costumes, reduced tuition and performance opportunities.

Some students may be invited to be company dancers but not receive scholarships.

The company's artistic directors are Roni Wright and Mary Devine. For information, contact Mrs. Wright or Mrs. Devine at the school at 785-7852.
