Need a little help remembering when to feed the lawn and spread the crabgrass killer? The Scotts Co.'s reminder service will jog your memory.
The service sends you an e-mail whenever it's time for a lawn-maintenance task such as fertilizing or applying weed control. You enter your ZIP code and the type of grass you have when you sign up, so the information you receive is specific to your climate and lawn. The advice is geared to Scotts products, of course, but you can use whatever you prefer.
While you're visiting the Scotts site, you can check out its other services, which include a lawn products calculator, video tips and a lawn- and garden-care planner that lets you find out what you should be doing during any particular month to care for all the plants in your yard.
