It is offered as part of the annual statewide conference of the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, whose three-day conference ends tonight.
The course will address local design review requirements, appropriate building materials, code issues, insurance, financial incentives and the sale of historic property.
Speakers include Fred Gaske and Walt Marder, AIA, both of the Florida Bureau of Historic Preservation, and Robert Jeffrey and Rick Smith of the staff of the city of St. Petersburg.
The cost of the three-hour course is $35. The Renaissance Vinoy is at 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg.
About 450 planners, architects and preservationists have been attending the conference, "Preservation Is Progress: Life on the Pinellas Peninsula."
