Academy honors its top achieversBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times published May 20, 2002 Academy of Environmental Science students recently had their Academy Awards for achievements throughout the year. Seniors receiving academic awards were: Sharyl Hernandez, anatomy and physiology honors; Kevin Chapin, Joshua Dahling, Sharyl Hernandez, ecology; Sharyl Hernandez, science research; Sharyl Hernandez, English III honors; Kevin Chapin, Adam Shrout, English IV; Holli Bloom, Joshua Dahling, English IV honors; Kevin Chapin, Holli Bloom, Laura Steepleton, science research V; Laura Steepleton, journalism honors; Kevin Chapin, Sharyl Hernandez, Joshua Dahling, multimedia production; Christine Adamson, Holli Bloom, Kevin Chapin, Joshua Dahling, Sharyl Hernandez, Morgan Owen, Tara Peterson, Adam Shrout, Laura Steepleton, student volunteer awards. In the Senior Academy Awards, Laura Steepleton was named most enthusiastic for the first term and Joshua Dahling was most enthusiastic for the second term. Most helpful for the first term was Stephanie Ramos. The best all-around academy student for the first term was Kevin Chapin. Best all-around for the second term was Sharyl Hernandez.
