Today is your chance to bellyache about your bellyache. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the American Gastroenterological Association will give people across the country a chance to speak to experts about heartburn.
Physicians will be picking up the phones at 1-877-488-9800. The call is toll free.
About 60-million Americans suffer from heartburn. Experienced as a burning pain behind the lower breastbone or the sensation of food or liquid coming into the throat, the condition is usually not serious. But heartburn can interfere with activities, eating and sleeping. Sometimes it leads to serious complications.
