Double-A Ray tosses no-hitter

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. -- Orlando Rays right-hander Gerardo Garcia pitched a no-hitter Wednesday night in a 2-0 victory over the Tennessee Smokies of the Double-A Southern League.

Garcia, a 22-year-old from Mexico, struck out nine and walked two. He's in his first season in the organization after spending last year in the Mexican League.
