FCAT results in the mail to parents

FORT LAUDERDALE -- The results of Florida's student assessment test have been mailed, school officials said.
Parents of students who took the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test will find out this week how their children fared on the math and reading test.
The results for 1.5-million students in grades three through 10 were sent last week to the state's 67 school districts, said Cornelia Orr, director of K-12 Assessment for the Department of Education.
The districts distribute the results to parents.
Most parents will have twice as much information as last year: The results they receive will include last year's FCAT results as well as this year's results and a statement comparing the two.
Statewide and district FCAT results already were released.
