Recalled from Triple-A Durham, catcher Paul Hoover arrived in the Rays clubhouse Tuesday afternoon without any of his equipment as he headed to batting practice.

"I'm kind of hoping it shows up before the game," Hoover said. "I've got (Nick) Bierbrodt's shoes. I've got (John) Flaherty's gloves and Russ (Johnson)'s batting gloves."
