Jill Muller Bankus, daughter of Robin and Jon Muller of Seminole, earned a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal while serving as preventive medicine petty officer, 10th Marines, 2D Marine Division at Fort Bragg, N. C.

Bankus provided advice and guidance to the medical officers of three subordinate battalions resulting in the stabilization, treatment and transport of military personnel.

She is a 1995 graduate of Boca Ciega High.

Pvt. Joseph Chador, son of Michele and Richard Chador of St. Petersburg, has completed Marine Corps basic training at Parris Island, S.C. A 2001 graduate of Canterbury School of Florida, he will continue combat training at Camp Lejeune before attending school at Pensacola Air Station.

Airman Basic Jai L. Price, son of Seberiana Lueallen Price of St. Petersburg, has completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He will continue technical school training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

Price is a 2001 graduate of Dixie Hollins High.

Jennifer Fitzpatrick, daughter of Joyce and Douglas "Butch" Fitzpatrick of St. Petersburg, has completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. She has reported for advanced training in preventive medicine at Fort Sam Houston in Texas and will be deployed to Germany in August.

Fitzpatrick is a 1995 graduate of Boca Ciega High.

Daniel G. Lynn, son of Donna and Dennis Lynn of St. Petersburg, was part of a five-man team that won an Iron Squad competition at Fort Rucker, Ala.

Lynn completed flight school at Fort Rucker and is scheduled to graduate in mid-June. He is preparing to attend Apache longbow helicopter training.

A 1991 graduate of Shorecrest Preparatory School, he graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1995.
