Man held on charges of fondling 5-year-old girl

LAND O'LAKES -- Sheriff's deputies on Monday arrested a 19-year-old Land O'Lakes man who they say fondled a 5-year-old girl.

According to reports, the girl told her parents that Robert Lindsey Evans Jr., of 4647 Northfield Place, came into her room while she was asleep and removed her underwear.

She said he then touched her. The girl's name is being withheld because of her age and the nature of the crime.

Evans faces charges of capital sexual battery. He was taken to the Land O'Lakes jail, where he remained Tuesday without bail.

Land O'Lakes man, 37, faces more sex charges

LAND O'LAKES -- A 37-year-old Land O'Lakes man, already accused of playing a highly sexual version of "truth or dare" with a 9-year-old girl in March, is facing additional charges in the incident.

Jack Alberto York, of 22260 Gage Loop No. 52, was at home March 10 when the girl came to visit. The girl's name is being withheld because of her age and the nature of the crime.

She initially told deputies that she joined in a game of "truth or dare" with York and dared herself to simulate oral sex with him. He consented, according to reports.

But deputies said beyond that, the girl initially was unwilling to provide further details about the incident.

A couple of weeks later, in another interview, the girl told authorities that York improperly touched her several times. She also acknowledged again that she had given him oral sex.

Based on the interview, deputies added three counts of capital sexual battery to York's existing charge of involuntary sexual battery.

York remained in jail in New Port Richey on Tuesday in lieu of $150,000.
