By Times staff reports Deputies accuse man of prostitutionWEEKI WACHEE -- A 55-year-old man was arrested on a charge of prostitution in Hernando Beach Park on Friday. Authorities said Nestor Baez of 4078 Thunderbird Ave. in Spring Hill was spotted by an undercover deputy, Craig Fortunato, in the park about 10 a.m., and Baez asked Fortunato to take him home, authorities said. Fortunato then walked along a nature trail with Baez, who offered to perform oral sex, authorities said. Baez then touched the deputy in the groin, authorities said. Sheriff's deputies taped the incident and cited Baez on a charge of prostitution. He was given a court date and released, authorities said. Lt. Joe Paez said deputies occasionally visit the area looking for prostitutes because of complaints from park visitors. Passenger robs driver at knifepointBROOKSVILLE -- A 44-year-old man told authorities that he was robbed at knifepoint after offering a man at Roo's Pub a ride home Sunday night. Craig Vetter Jr. told deputies he was drinking at the Cortez Boulevard pub when a man asked for a ride home. Vetter agreed and drove to Booker T. Street in Brooksville. He said the man got out of his truck and left the passenger door open, so Vetter walked around to shut it. Vetter said he found the man waiting behind the truck with a knife. He demanded money, and Vetter gave him $20, authorities said. A Roo's bartender said the man's name was Walt and he frequented the bar, asking to do work in exchange for beer. Authorities are still looking for the man, who faces armed robbery charges. Authorities ask anyone with information to call (352) 754-6830. Woman's suit says dentist assaulted herBROOKSVILLE -- A Hernando County woman has filed suit against a local dentist alleging that he physically and verbally assaulted her. Melinda Wilfong said in the suit filed Friday that she worked as a dental assistant for Ramanujam K. Setlur from August 2001 to March. She said the dentist improperly touched her and made unwanted sexual comments on a regular basis. Setlur, who works in an office on Cortez Boulevard, said Tuesday he was "completely surprised" by the allegations and said they were totally false. He said Wilfong was an unreliable employee who regularly missed work and that she stopped showing up months ago. "I just cannot believe this," he said. Wilfong could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
