Carrollwood Players will hold auditions for A Murder Is Announced at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the theater, 43333 Gunn Highway, Tampa. Positions available for seven women, ages 20 and up, and five men, ages 20 to 60. Most characters require British accents. Prepare a 2-minute monologue with British accent. Call (813) 265-4000. One Zero Productions will hold auditions for positions in upcoming television shows and live stage performances from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and June 8, 15 and 22 at Royalty Theatre, 405 Cleveland St., Clearwater. Bill Irle's Early Bird Dinner Theatre will hold open auditions for the 2002-2003 season at 7 p.m. Monday at the theater, 1411 N Fort Harrison Ave., Clearwater. Headshot and resume preferred. Prepare a 2-minute monologue. (813) 884-7366.
St. Petersburg Little Theatre will hold auditions for the Summer One-Act Festival at 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the theater, 4025 31st St. S, St. Petersburg. Positions available for women ages 20 to 70 and men ages 20 to 80. All readings from the script. Backstage personnel also needed. (727) 866-2059. Applications are being accepted for the Tampa Bay Symphony Young Artist's Competition. Auditions are open to all musicians younger than 21 interested in a solo performance on an orchestra instrument, including piano. Applicants must be attending middle school, high school or college during the 2002-2003 school year. Applications may be obtained from Tampa Bay Symphony, P.O. Box 3175, Seminole, FL 33775. Include a 15-minute or shorter recording by the applicant of the composition to be performed with the orchestra. Performance piece must have a readily available orchestra accompaniment.
