    Camp curtain call

    The city of Clearwater's summer day camp featuring theater games, performance skill instruction, field trips and backstage fun is for aspiring actors ages 9-14. There are four two-week sessions beginning June 10. Each session is different; you can sign up for just one or all four. The camp will take place at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex, 2450 Drew St., Clearwater. The cost is $145 with a recreation card, or $219.50 without one. Call (727) 669-1361 ext. 231 to register.

    Theater opportunity day for teens

    The Clearwater City Players has created a one-day program for teens age 14-18 who want to learn about backstage work, auditioning, dancing, costuming and improvisation. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. June 15 at the Francis Wilson Playhouse, 302 Seminole St., Clearwater. The cost is $10 and includes a box supper. Call (727) 669-1361 ext. 230.

    Theatre tuneup

    The Clearwater City Players has created a 19-class summer program for experienced and novice thespians. Experts will give tips on acting, set design, lighting, auditioning, costuming and more. This camp is for people 17 and older. It will take place from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 2 to 10 p.m. Sundays June 9-23. The cost is $45 if you get your check in by June 9, or $50 at the door (or you can pay $10 per session with a recreation card, $15 without a card). Call (727) 669-1361 ext. 230.

    Circus Camp

    The City of Largo's Circus Camp featuring juggling, tightrope walking, unicycle riding and more will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 8 through July 26 at the Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive. This camp is geared toward kids 10-16. There will be a performance under the big top July 26. The cost is $285 with a resident card, $310 without a card. Call (727) 587-6751 to register.
