DADE CITY -- Firefighters fought a losing battle Thursday against a fire that destroyed a vacant mobile home.
Lt. Tony Hicks of the Dade City Fire Department said two crews arrived shortly after 1 p.m. at 15120 Byron St. to find the mobile home engulfed in flames.
"It was pretty much gone when they got there," he said.
No one was living in the home, which was being used as a storage shed. Hicks said investigators are looking into the possibility that children set the fire.
There were no injuries.
