By Times staff reports Port Richey man faces child abuse chargePORT RICHEY -- A 25-year-old Port Richey man was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday after a witness told Pasco sheriff's deputies that she saw him lift a 5-year-old boy by the throat and throw him against a wall, according to an arrest report. Ben Matthew Frisbie of 11131 Tyler Drive faces one charge of child abuse. The witness also told deputies that on an earlier occasion, Frisbie lifted the boy by his torso and threw him about 10 feet across a room onto a couch, according to his arrest report. Frisbie was taken to Land O'Lakes jail and was being held Thursday night on $1,500 bail. New Port Richey man accused of hitting kidsNEW PORT RICHEY -- A 40-year-old New Port Richey man was arrested just after 11 p.m. Wednesday after two children told Pasco sheriff's deputies that he hit them, according to an arrest report. Terry Wayne McLane of 7867 Raintree Drive faces three charges of child abuse. According to a deputy's arrest report, a 9-year-old boy said McLane became angry and punched him in the left arm. He said McLane also struck him in the upper left thigh. A 10-year-old girl said McLane hit her with a belt buckle on the right arm, and showed deputies the mark where she had been hit. McLane was taken to Land O'Lakes jail, where he was released Thursday on $15,000 bail.
