LIGHTS, CAMERA, SMILE!: Dennis Quaid has signed on to play Lee Petty, patriarch of NASCAR's first family of racing, in an untitled movie chronicling the careers of Lee and son Richard in the late 1950s and '60s. The movie will focus on the father-son relationship, as Richard struggles to meet the high expectations Lee had for him.

No word yet on who will play Richard, NASCAR's all-time winningest driver with 200 victories, but casting might consider wide-smiling Donny Osmond or boot-wearing Gary Busey. Just picture Buddy Holly with a cowboy hat and sunglasses.

MILK LADY RIDES AGAIN: Myrna Metzger, a 63-year-old grandmother who spent 30 years working for the American Dairy Association of Indiana, is known around Indianapolis Motor Speedway as "The Milk Lady." For 10 years, Metzger has delivered the traditional bottle of milk to the Indy 500 winner in Victory Circle.

Metzger arrived at the speedway at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, the milk safely packed in a cooler she kept at her side in the infield grandstand. She gives drivers four choices: skim, 2-percent, whole and lactose-free. Two-time winner Helio Castroneves prefers to quench his thirst after a long day of racing and fence-scaling with 2-percent.

JUST DON'T SING: What is it with Winston Cup drivers and music videos? Elliott Sadler, driver of the No. 21 Ford, is the latest to spend time in front of the camera, playing county music star Blake Shelton's brother in the video for "Ol' Red," shot in a Nashville prison.

"We worked on it two full days, and I mean full days, until 12 o'clock each night," said Sadler, who met Shelton when the singer opened at a Hank Williams Jr. concert in Atlanta. "We hung around in the bus with Blake and the band when we weren't on camera. Those guys were in there making up songs and singing and messing around on the guitar, just having a good time. It was like a two-day vacation."
