TAMPA -- A 2-year-old girl who was badly burned in a fire Friday night has been flown to the Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati for further treatment. She remains in critical condition.
Adrianna Madison and her grandmother, Voncile Smiley, 63, were asleep in their Tampa home, 3003 N 43rd St., when the blaze began. Adrianna suffered smoke inhalation and burns over 90 percent of her body.
The Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati is specially equipped to treat children with severe burns.
