One killed, five hurt in wreck

TAMPA -- A Bahamas woman died in a car accident Saturday morning on Interstate 75.
Leona Gibson, 45, was riding north in a 2000 Mitsubishi with five other people just before 9:30 a.m. when the driver lost control while exiting the interstate at the Crosstown Expressway. Gibson was ejected and became trapped under the car.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the driver lost control along the ramp's curve and the car flipped.
All of the passengers were taken to Tampa General Hospital.
The driver, Keith Wilson, 46, of 134 Oak Ave. in Coral Gables; Keith Wilson Jr., 10; and Cynthia Wilson, 43, were listed in fair condition. Kenya Wilson, 12, also of 134 Oak Ave., suffered minor injuries and was released Saturday afternoon. Kendall Gibson, 47, of the Bahamas, was listed in fair condition.
