OUTTA LEFTFIELD
In a column that appeared in the Toronto Star on Wednesday, Rays manager Hal McRae "had a philosophical take on the demise" of fired Blue Jays manager Buck Martinez.
"It doesn't matter what you do as a manager, when they decide it's time, it's time," McRae told the Star. "They had to do it (Monday). Looking at this series (against the Rays), they didn't want him to have a seven-game winning streak."
