I'll have another . . .

Fruit gazpacho with jalapeno. Pepper gave kick to a peachy refresher from the Wine Cellar at the Taste of Pinellas for All Children's Hospital last weekend, but the event needs more punch too. Red Mesa's chili pepper pineapple chunks, Harvey's tuna and Papaya's mullet-lobster spread were cool treats, and Steak & Ale's prime rib bites and Dorothea Bacon's cornbread and collards were hot stuff, but the menu hasn't kept up with the swelling crowd. More restaurants need to pitch in to show Pinellas' taste for variety, from medianoches to pad Thai, from craft beer to fine wine.
