OUTTA LEFTFIELD

Details of the team meeting manager Hal McRae called before Wednesday's game were hard to come by. But McRae did offer this Thursday: "I did the majority of the talking. Milt (May, hitting coach) did talk a little bit. Players were invited to talk. I mentioned that to captain (Greg) Vaughn and he turned it over to the young captain (Brent Abernathy). We got a big kick out of that."
