Sickles sets informational meetings about fall sports
CITRUS PARK -- The coaches at Sickles High School have scheduled two informational meetings on fall sports. Students who plan to join the cross country, football, golf, swimming, volleyball and cheerleading teams should attend one of the meetings. Coaches will be on hand to provide paperwork and information about tryouts and practices.
Meetings will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday and July 18 in the school auditorium. For information, call 631-4742.
Summer tennis camp caters to various levels
CARROLLWOOD -- The Country Club of Carrollwood is still registering students for its summer tennis camp.
The club offers programs for various age groups and experience levels. The tots program provides 4- to 7-year-olds an introduction to tennis. Juniors, ages 8-18, work on individual skills and match play. The focus in the advanced juniors program for players 8-18 is on strategy, technical skills and competitive play.
The eight sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays through Aug. 2. Cost is $120 per weekly session for country club members, $150 for guests. Discounts are available for multiple children and sessions.

Co-ed volleyball play begins Tuesday in Lutz
LUTZ -- Heritage Harbor Golf and Country club will offer a 4-on-4 adult co-ed volleyball "League under the Lights" beginning Tuesday. The league will run eight weeks, ending with a single elimination playoff. Teams must have at least one female player on the court at all times.
Team fees are $180 for Heritage Harbor members and pass holders, and $190 for guests. Individual signups are $40. For information, call Robbie at 949-4671.
