Kyle Griffith hit a home run and allowed only one hit in Pinellas Park National's 10-0 senior baseball victory over Gulfport on Saturday in the District 5 Tournament of Champions.
Griffith went 3-for-3 and struck out 15.
Pinellas Park National advanced to play Azalea at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Daniel Yoakem threw a two-hit complete game in Northwest's 6-0 victory over Meadowlawn. Third baseman Hayden Dean hit a two-run double, and rightfielder Jared Serrano had an RBI single in the sixth.
JUNIOR BASEBALL: A six-run second helped Pinellas Park American defeat Gulfport 8-0 in the District 5 tournament.
First baseman Justin Cox had a double and three RBIs for Pinellas Park American. Daniel Burroughs pitched a complete game.
Dunedin American finished the round robin portion of the District 12 junior baseball tournament with a 15-4 victory over Clearwater National.
Cory Newton and Derek Morris went 4-for-5. Josh Paquette, Cory Trudell and Derek Morris combined to allow three Clearwater National hits.
MAJOR BASEBALL: Steve Dibella threw a no-hitter Friday to help Seminole get past Pinellas Park American 3-0 in the District 5 tournament.
Adam Gentile, Dean Luke and Robert Oxner had RBI singles in the first.
SENIOR SOFTBALL: Seminole will play Meadowlawn in the District 5 final at 7 p.m. Monday. Meadowlawn earned its spot with an 8-6 victory over Seminole on Friday.
Seminole advanced with a 10-6 victory over Northeast on Saturday. Breena Bails went the distance for Seminole.
Jessaymn San Filippo went 3-for-4 with six RBIs. Brittanie Strickland scored three runs and Alex Glebowski two for Seminole.
JUNIOR SOFTBALL: In District 5, Taylor Traviesa and Natalie Hartz combined to allow two hits over five innings in Northeast's 19-1 victory over Meadowlawn on Saturday.
Catcher Haley Draughom had a double and scored four runs for Northeast.
Seminole moved a step closer to the final with a 15-2 victory over Azalea on Friday. Brandi Puritt and Meagan Lucy combined on a two-hitter for Seminole. Sydney Grundmann had three hits.
MINOR SOFTBALL: Gulfport's 13-8 victory Friday night eliminated Northwest from the District 5 tournament.
Chaynee Beem had two doubles, and Katisha Diab had two triples for Gulfport.
