Director's son found guilty of murder

The son of a Hollywood television director was found guilty Wednesday of killing four pedestrians with his speeding car on a crowded California street last year.

Jurors convicted David Attias, 20, of four counts of second- degree murder.

The next phase of the trial was to begin today to determine if Attias was sane at the time. Attias, who was on drugs at the time and has a history of mental illness, could face life in prison without parole.

His father, Emmy-nominated director Daniel Attias, has worked on such shows as Ally McBeal, The Practice and The Sopranos
