By Times staff writer Jagger gets knightedMick Jagger, the rock 'n' roll bad boy who once outraged the British establishment with his wild lifestyle, was knighted today for his service to music. Jagger, 58, will now be known officially as Sir Michael Philip Jagger. Also knighted were directors Trevor Nunn and Jonathan Miller and painter Peter Blake. Playwright Harold Pinter received the prestigious companion of honor award. Jagger, who is preparing for a U.S. fall tour with the Rolling Stones, said he was "delighted at the news." The government chooses most of the honors that Queen Elizabeth II bestows twice a year. Official ceremonies for the knighthoods will be held in the coming months. Ryder pleads not guiltyActor Winona Ryder pleaded not guilty to shoplifting and drug charges Friday during a brief appearance in a Beverly Hills, Calif., courthouse. Her arraignment came the week after Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox ruled that there was enough evidence for Ryder to stand trial on felony charges of grand theft, burglary, vandalism and possession of drugs without a prescription. The star of Little Women and Age of Innocence is accused of shoplifting $4,760 from Saks Fifth Avenue last December. Ryder's attorney, Mark Geragos, also said Friday that he planned to proceed with his efforts to have the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office disqualified from the case. He said in an earlier court hearing that he believed the office had an "ax to grind" with his client. A Hanson brother ties the knotTaylor Hanson, the 19-year-old lead singer and keyboard player of pop trio Hanson, has married his girlfriend of two years, 18-year-old Natalie Anne Bryant. Relatives and friends attended the small, private ceremony in Pine Mountain, Ga., on June 8, the Tulsa World reported. Taylor Hanson, his older brother, Isaac, and younger brother, Zac, are finishing work on their next CD, due early next year. TV notesThe syndicated action-adventure series V.I.P., starring Pamela Anderson, has been canceled because of the financial problems of one of its producers, German media giant Kirch. Anderson said the show has been sold into syndication to TNN and will start airing on that network in September. . . . As the fifth installment of Survivor begins production this week in Thailand, CBS is accepting applications for the sixth edition of the reality show. Go to www.CBS.com for details. The location for Survivor 6 hasn't been announced. Meanwhile, CBS tells TVGuide.com that an all-star version won't happen until at least fall 2003.
