CLEARWATER -- The Humane Society of North Pinellas will sponsor an orientation and certification class at 7 p.m. June 26 for families or individuals who can provide foster care for orphaned and abandoned puppies and kittens and injured adult pets.

The foster care is usually needed for two to three weeks. Foster homes are provided with all the necessary supplies for care, including crates, litter, pet food and medication.

The class will be at the American Red Cross building at 2481 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater. To sign up for the class, call the shelter at 797-7722.
