By Times staff writer Woman hospitalized after falling from horseWESLEY CHAPEL -- A 26-year-old Wesley Chapel woman was flown to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa on Wednesday night after she was thrown from a horse, a Pasco County Fire Rescue dispatcher said. Fire Rescue was called to 30009 Lynne Drive at 7:50 p.m. The dispatcher said the victim had been riding at a "good gallop" and was thrown from the horse. She was unconscious when Fire Rescue was called. No further information was available on the incident at press time. Dade City man accused of sexual batteryDADE CITY -- Pasco County sheriff's deputies on Tuesday arrested a 39-year-old man who they say forced a 30-year-old woman to have sex with him. The woman told deputies that Donnie Ray Patterson of 15120 Byron St. in Dade City continued to have sex with her on June 12 even after she told him "no" and "stop" numerous times. The woman's name is being withheld because of the nature of the charges. Patterson faces a charge of sexual battery. He was taken to Land O'Lakes jail, where he was released Tuesday evening after posting $5,000 bail. Deputies say woman abused girl, 16LAND O'LAKES -- Pasco County sheriff's deputies on Wednesday arrested a 37-year-old Land O'Lakes woman who they say punched a 16-year-old girl and beat her with a belt during an argument. Deputies said Adonia Starlene Olsen of 9310 Bahia Loop punched the girl in the face, stomach and back. They said she also used a belt to hit the girl on her back, buttocks and legs. Reports did not state if the girl, who wasn't named, was related to Olsen. Olsen faces charges of child abuse. She was taken to the Land O'Lakes jail, where she remained Wednesday in lieu of $10,000.
