TAMPA -- Edmonton may be trying to work a deal with the Lightning for the No. 4 overall pick in Saturday's NHL draft. The Oilers, who pick 14th, would love to select LW Joffrey Lupul, who plays for WHA Medicine Hat and grew up in Edmonton.
The Lightning is looking for a second-line wing or a top-four defenseman in return.
It is unclear who Edmonton would offer, but with defenseman Jay Bouwmeester, LW Rick Nash and goalie Kari Lehtenen expected to be the top three picks, the No. 4 position would be prime to acquire Lupul.
