The St. Petersburg Debutante Club introduced the young women who will make their debuts this year at a coffee held June 8. Marion Ballard was hostess for the event, which is a time for mingling among several generations of debutantes.
In this year's group of 16:

Jacqueline Marie Boulay, Florida State University, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Alfred Boulay Jr.

Several women who attended the event told me they especially enjoyed visiting with Mary Margaret Winning and Mary Gray Smith, reporting that both women were debutantes in the 1940s.
The Debutante Ball is scheduled Dec. 28 at the Coliseum.
As you already know, Americas' Sail 2002 will bring seven tall-masted ships and many visitors to St. Petersburg next week, including a Brazilian navy ship and the U.S. Coast Guard barque Eagle.
The vessels are to anchor off Egmont Key by Wednesday. A Tall Ships Captains Party is scheduled for 5:30-8:30 that evening at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, 11 Central Ave.
Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres are the bill of fare for the event, which is open to the public. Tickets cost $50 and are available in advance or at the door.
Saturday night, at the Don CeSar Beach Resort and Spa, race awards will be presented at the Captains Ball, a black-tie optional event that begins at 7:30. Tickets for the dinner and dance are $150 each.

Stacy Weissman at St. Anthony's Health Care is looking for anyone born at St. Anthony's, parents of children born at the hospital and onetime gynecologists, obstetricians and nursing staff there.
The St. Anthony's Baby Alumni Club will meet July 17 in the administration board room of the hospital, 1200 Seventh Ave. N, St. Petersburg.
