DARBY -- A 38-year-old Tampa man was killed Sunday night after he fell out of the back of a pickup truck headed east on State Road 52, near Ehren Cutoff.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said John Eric Wade of 1203 Highlands Place in Tampa was riding in the bed of the 1997 Ford pickup when the accident happened about 10:15 p.m. Reports were not clear on why Wade fell from the truck.
Thomas Wayne Prince, 43, was driving the pickup at the time of the incident, and Tammy Harden, 38, was riding in the truck's cab.
Both live on Holiday Drive in Dade City.
