Opportunities include fruit slicers, servers, greeters, children's activities, and parking service. Call Maggie Hayes at (727) 551-3106. CASA, the Center Against Spouse Abuse, a domestic violence services center located at 1011 First Ave. N, St. Petersburg, needs volunteers to look after children so their mothers can attend support groups. Assistance is needed from 6-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. An orientation will be provided on July 6. Call Nina Smith at (727) 895-4912, ext. 107. United Methodist Cooperative Ministries, 3940 18th Ave. S, St. Petersburg, needs volunteers for its Literacy Services program. From the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 301 37th Ave. N, St. Petersburg, volunteers will teach English to speakers of other languages. Sixteen hours of training are provided and volunteers then are paired with refugees or immigrants who speak little or no English.
