LOOK AHEAD

SPEAKER: There will be a talk and demonstration on wildlife taxidermy by Cason Pope and Stan Kirkland at 7 p.m. July 9 at Chinsegut Nature Center north of Brooksville. Take U.S. 41 north of Brooksville 7 miles, then turn left on County Road 476 and go 1 mile. The nature center is on the left side of the road. For information, call 754-6722.

TIME WARP AGAIN: The Rocky Horror Show will be July 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 and 28 at Stage West Community Playhouse, 8390 Forest Oaks Blvd., Spring Hill. Shows are at midnight Fridays, 8 p.m. Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $16. LIFE LESSONS: The Hernando County Fine Arts Council will present How to Eat Like a Child and Other Lessons in Not Being a Grown-Up July 26-28 at Chocachatti Elementary School, 4135 California St., south of Brooksville. CURTAIN CALLS

Richey Suncoast Theatre will have auditions for the comedy Don't Dress for Dinner at 7 p.m. July 21 and 22 at the theater, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Roles are available for three men and three women who can appear to be ages 25 to 55. Production dates are Oct. 24-27 and Nov. 1-3 and 8-10. Director is Saul Leibner.

Richey Suncoast Theatre will have auditions for the musical comedy Once Upon a Mattress at 7 p.m. July 27 and 28 at the theater, 6237 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Roles are for 15 men and women who can appear to be age 20 and older. Production dates are Sept. 12-15; 20-22 and 27-28. Director is Alison Crockett.

The Avenue Players Theatre will have a theater workshop for ages 8 to 13 from 9 a.m. to noon July 15-19. The workshop will cover creating a character, the breakdown of a scene, the design of a set and costumes, writing for and using puppets, and being successful at auditions. Instructor is Diana Forgione. Drivers may observe the workshop. A "talking theater" exchange will follow each day's activities. Tuition is $20 a day, $100 for the week.
