    PATRIOTIC PROGRAM: WTVT-Ch. 13 newscaster John Wilson and his wife and musical partner of 30 years, Mary K., will team up in a Musical Salute to America at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Largo Cultural Center, 105 Central Park Drive, south of East Bay Drive between Highland Avenue and Seminole Boulevard and adjacent to the Largo Library. Tickets are $10 reserved, and $8 per person for groups of 10 or more. Call (727) 587-6793.

    SUNSETS AT PIER 60: Celebrate the end of the day with a festival of arts, crafts and entertainment two hours before and two hours after sunset at the Pier 60 Pavilion on Clearwater Beach. Tonight, it's Blue Fire (classic rock); Saturday, it's Local Tourists (beach music); Sunday, it's Surfin' Raccoons (rock). Admission is free.

    FREE CONCERT: The Clearwater/St. Petersburg Times-sponsored Summer Concert Series Neighborhood Tour continues with a show by Machine (contemporary music) at 7 tonight at Countryside High School, 3000 State Road 580, Clearwater. Coolers and lawn chairs are permitted. No alcohol. Admission is free.

    IMPROV: The improvisational troupe Unprofessionals will perform at 8 tonight at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center, 101 S Pinellas Ave. Admission is $10; $8 for center members and students. The troupe's members range from in age from 22 to 57, and some perform at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival. They solicit ideas and other bits of inspiration from the audience and craft scenes around those suggestions.

    IRISH DANCING: At 8 p.m. Saturday, the traditional Irish music ensemble Pooka and the Titanic Dancers will perform at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 E Pine St. Admission is $12; $10 for center members or students. Call (727) 942-5605.

    WORKSHOP: A rain barrel workshop is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the Palm Pavilion at the Florida Botanical Gardens, 12175 125th St. N, Largo. Horticulturist Dale Armstrong will discuss rain barrels and show participants how to use them to collect rainwater for irrigation. Participants will construct their own rain barrels in the workshop. Registration is required. The cost is $20 ($15 for Florida Botanical Gardens members). The class size is limited to 30 participants. Call (727) 582-2124 to register.

    SPIRITUAL ENCOUNTERS: The paranormal and fine art intersect at this summer show at Snooty Judy's Fine Art Gallery in Dunedin. See ghost image photography by artist Brandy Stark, and 3-D images, mixed media, metal sculpture and other work by various artists through Aug. 11. An opening reception will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
