WESLEY CHAPEL -- Pasco County sheriff's deputies on Thursday arrested a 22-year-old convicted sexual predator whom they had been unable to locate since he fled from a court hearing in December 1999.

Deputies said Brian Keith Coffelt, who also went by the alias Brent Johnson, was not living at his registered address of 6641 Mangrove Drive in Wesley Chapel. Under Florida law, sexual predators are required to report any address change to the state within 48 hours of the move.

Reports stated that deputies had tried to contact Coffelt numerous times in recent years before finally contacting him Thursday.

Coffelt remained in the Land O'Lakes jail Friday without bail.
