NEW PORT RICHEY -- Two state legislators want to get some feedback from residents about work done in Tallahassee this year.
Republican Reps. Mike Fasano and Heather Fiorentino will hold a town meeting from 10 a.m. to noon today at the New Port Richey City Council Chambers at 5919 Main St.
The two plan to give an overview of the regular legislative session as well as the special session.
They'll talk about recent bills that were passed and signed by Gov. Jeb Bush.
The lawmakers also will discuss how state money will be spent on education, health care and social services.
Fasano and Fiorentino said they hope to hear not only from veterans and seniors on health issues, but from parents with children in schools to talk about state changes this year.
"We're hoping for some young people to attend so we can hear from families and talk about educational issues," Fasano said.
After the legislators give a summary of recent bills, they will open the floor for questions from residents.
For information, call Fasano's office at (727) 848-5885 or Fiorentino's office at (727) 816-1307.
