Climbing the ladder

FINANCIAL

Nicholas Financial Inc., Clearwater, announced the following promotions: Douglas Marohn, to vice president of sales; and Matthew Foget, to vice president of marketing. Marohn was regional manager of Florida; Foget was vice president of sales.

HEALTH CARE

Patti Holston has been named administrative director for Morton Plant Hospital's Turley Family Health Center, Clearwater. Holston was manager of the University of Tennessee Department of Family Medicine in Memphis.

LEGAL

Jeffrey Thomas Coleman, a partner at the law firm of Saunders, Walker & Coleman, Pinellas Park, was elected to the board of directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers young lawyers section.

Jonathan C. Koch has joined the law firm of Salem Saxon, Tampa, as a partner. Koch previously owned a private practice in Tampa.

Richard La Belle, a principal at the law firm of Richard La Belle, Dunedin, was the recipient of the Advocate of the Year award from the Grass Roots Forum for People with Disabilities in Florida. La Belle was recognized for his work on election reform.

MEDICAL

Metabolic Consultants Inc., Clearwater, announced the following promotions: Tod J. Hammill, to director of clinical services; and Cheri M. Lamer, to director of customer relations. Hammill was director of daily operations of the home infusion pharmacy; Lamer was director of durable medical equipment.

RECRUITMENT

Stephanie Hippensteel received the Big Sister of the Year award from the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. Hippensteel is a branch manager for TransWorld Professional Associates, Tampa.

TECHNOLOGY

Bud Esserman has been promoted to Florida area director for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Tampa. Esserman was vice president.

ILiant Corp., Tampa, announced the following appointments: Anthony D'Eredita, vice president of consulting; and Mitzi Wilson, director of corporate reimbursement. D'Eredita was senior counsel for the health care practice of Bond Schoeneck & King, Syracuse, N.Y.; Wilson was national manager, reimbursement operations, for U.S. Oncology in Houston.
