TAMPA PALMS: Arjumand and Rizma Hashmi want permission from Hillsborough County to convert an existing building on N 43rd Street into a veterinary clinic providing outpatient services. The request, submitted in late June, also asks approval to rent out the other building on the property to a business. The only changes the Hashmis would make to the property, the request says, are cosmetic changes to the buildings, landscaping and the installation of a small parking lot. The half-acre site, just south of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, is now zoned for 20 homes per acre. A zoning hearing master is scheduled to hear the request Aug. 26. (Petition 02-1104)

LUTZ: The owners of a .64-acre site on Florida Avenue, north of 145th Avenue, are seeking a rezoning that will allow for outside storage uses. Jerry and Karen Thompson plan to sell utility sheds on the property, now zoned for general commercial businesses. Site plans shows a 40- by 60-foot showroom and a 12- by 32-foot office. A zoning hearing master is scheduled to hear the proposal Aug. 26. (Petition 02-1108)

When and where:
