Pinellas Park National won the District 5 Senior baseball title Saturday with a 10-1 victory over Azalea.
Starting pitcher Kyle Griffith struck out 11 in the win. Jimmy Haas and Ryan Koch each had two hits. Pinellas Park National also won the District 5 Tournament of Champions last month and will advance to the sectional tournament at Interbay next week.
In District 12, rain delayed the crowning of the Senior baseball champion. The game has been rescheduled for 4 p.m. today.
JUNIOR BASEBALL: Matt Stull had a no-hitter broken up in the sixth but still hung on to eliminate Southwest from the District 5 tournament. Stull pitched a complete game, striking out seven and allowing two hits in Northeast's 2-1 win.
Chris Ham had a pair of hits and scored twice on hits by Justin Bell to account for both Northeast runs. Chris Cisco also had two hits.
Northeast will play Cross Bayou at 7 p.m. Monday for the championship.
SENIOR SOFTBALL: Rain delayed the start of the state tournament in Clearwater for a second straight day. Saturday's games have been moved to today. The championship game has been pushed back to Thursday night.
