1. 13 Conversations About One Thing -- The subject is happiness, an elusive feeling for an ensemble of urbanites whose lives intersect at telling moments. The stellar cast includes Matthew McConaughey, John Turturro, Clea DuVall and the inestimable Alan Arkin.
2. Minority Report -- Tom Cruise plays a futuristic cop whose department can predict who will commit murder and arrest them before the fact. Director Steven Spielberg once again proves he's the best science fiction filmmaker ever, even better than his pal George Lucas.
3. Road to Perdition -- Tom Hanks isn't convincing as a 1930s mob assassin, but the American Beauty team of director Sam Mendes and cinematographer Conrad Hall creates a moody underworld that's tough to shake.
4. Stuart Little 2 -- Lively sight gags and spirited voiceovers by Michael J. Fox, Melanie Griffith and James Woods turn this sequel about an adopted talking mouse into a worthwhile family treat.
5. Lilo & Stitch -- A minor treat by Disney animation standards, but this odd coupling of an orphan girl and an alien creature has its moments. This is the second feature-length film produced at Disney's animation studio in Orlando.
