YMCA MEN'S SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: Defending champion Paul Davis Restoration defeated Lorefice 14-11 Wednesday to stay alive in the winners bracket of the "A" division.
Pit Boss moved on with a 12-6 victory over Wings Plus. Lorefice and Wings Plus dropped to the losers bracket.
Salvation Army and SunTrust advanced Tuesday. Salvation Army defeated L.R.E. 26-10 in six innings. SunTrust beat Upper Deck 17-12.
L.R.E. and Upper Deck were eliminated.
Miller's Pub outslugged Earth Tech 17-15, and Suncoast Eye Center beat State Farm Scott Barnwell 10-4 in the "B" division.
Earth Tech and State Farm dropped to the losers bracket.
Tuesday, Leisure Lanes outlasted Royal Ryder 19-18 in nine innings and Wexler Orthodontic moved on with a 26-8, five-inning victory over Show Palace.
Royal Ryder and Show Palace were eliminated.
CRYSTAL RIVER ROTARY TRIATHLON SERIES: The USA Triathlon-sanctioned event is the final in the series. The event -- a quarter-mile swim, 15-mile bike ride and 3-mile run -- is at 7:30 a.m. Aug.24 at Fort Island Gulf Beach, at the end of Highway 44 West, 9 miles west of U.S. 19 in Crystal River.
