Open since June 1, the salon is one of a dozen Great Clips stores in Hillsborough County, and is among some 1,700 in the United States and Canada. It is a franchise of the Minneapolis-based Great Clips. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. Appointments are not accepted. Through Friday, the new salon is offering haircuts for $4.99. Thereafter, the regular prices of $11 will apply, with cuts for children and seniors at $9, said Rick Hubbard, general manager. For information, call 909-4125. CARROLLWOOD: CD City opened July 1 at the Palms of Carrollwood Shopping Center at N Dale Mabry Highway and Fletcher Avenue. The store sells new and used CDs and DVDs as well as music and movie posters. Used CDs are priced $7.99 and under. Most new CDs are priced around $14.99.
